Your first class is free — just turn up and give judo a try.
No commitment required. Come along and try a class — if you love it, we'll help you get set up from there.
Comfortable training clothes like a tracksuit are fine for your first session. A judogi (uniform) can come later and is available through the club.
Just a water bottle. Remove all jewellery and make sure fingernails and toenails are trimmed (safety requirement).
Please arrive 10–15 minutes early for your first session so we can help you get set up. Parents are welcome to sit on the side and complete registration steps from their phone.
Juniors: Mon & Wed, 5:30–6:30 PM
Seniors (15+): Mon & Wed, 6:30–8:15 PM
We understand that choosing an activity for your child is a big decision. Here's what you can expect.
One of the first things children learn is how to fall safely (ukemi). All training is age-appropriate, supervised by qualified coaches, and conducted on our sprung floor to reduce impact.
You're welcome to sit in the viewing area during your child's class. For the first session, you can complete registration steps from your phone while they train.
Classes start with a group warm-up and games, followed by technique practice (throws, holds, movement drills), light partner work, and a cool-down. It's structured, active, and fun.
Judo teaches discipline, respect, and resilience. There is no striking or kicking. Children learn to work with partners cooperatively, building confidence through achievement.
We accept NSW Government Active Kids vouchers to help offset the cost of membership and fees.
Our home is the International Judo Centre — a purpose-built dojo featuring 150 tatami on a sprung floor, opened in 1998 and dedicated to the teaching and development of judo.

After your free trial, new members are eligible for a free 4-week Judo NSW trial membership which includes insurance cover. After that, you'll need an annual membership which includes insurance — we'll help you choose the right option when the time comes.
